William “Bud” Goodsen meeting with Mayor Lloyd

We have approximately 83 individual and family memberships in addition to 27 businesses and organization memberships.  Here in STAR Neighborhood, residents have come together to help assure all of us a healthy, enjoyable, and safe place to live.

We sponsor several projects throughout the year including potluck dinners, a rummage sale, a summer picnic, National Night Out, beautification projects, tire pickups, and our Children’s Christmas Party. The Children’s Christmas Party is a special project that is done every year. We have children within the Weed & Seed area attend.  They are given a meal, treat bags, and several nice gifts while being entertained and greeted by Santa.

Bud Goodsen, President of STAR, also holds the distinct honor of being the first President of United Neighborhoods of Evansville.  His experience and leadership with STAR helped lead UNOE to become a vibrant organization.

STAR Neighborhood’s “Adopt-A-Spot”
