Glenwood

Glenwood
Neighborhood Association

As president of Glenwood Neighborhood Association, it has been a pleasure serving our Glenwood area on the southeast side of Evansville, Indiana.  The Glenwood Neighborhood has been a viable Association in action since 1983 (38 years!).

The Glenwood area is bounded by Howard Street on  the west, and including Kentucky Avenue and from East Riverside Drive south, to and including South Lane Drive.

Our mission is to create improvements within the community that increases a safe and healthy quality of life for all who reside and/or work within our boundaries. The association will work in cooperation with residents, businesses in the area, the police department and city administration.

Many improvements have been accomplished such as new affordable housing by Memorial Community Development Corporation (Glenwood Redevelopment Project), Evansville Habitat for Humanity, and Community One.

We also host our Annual “Arts N The Park” activity in Caldwell Park,GNA Neighbor Appreciation Banquet, and Neighborhood Cleanups!

The Glenwood Neighborhood Association wishes to acknowledge past and present GNA Presidents: Patricia Thomas (deceased), Dean Brane (deceased), Susan Schweikarth, Rev. Larry Sanders, and current President, Lucy L. Williams.

Thanks to all that continue to assist our Glenwood area by “Serving our Community”!
