SWIMGA 2022 Pruning Workshops

The Southwestern Indiana Master Gardener Association is hosting two Pruning Workshops on Saturday February 26 at Hartman Arboretum from 10:00 – 12:30pm.

Pruning of Young Trees (10:00am)

Some of the trees in the Arboretum will be used for demonstration. If time permits, trimming example of a shrub will be included.

Discuss blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Pruning is especially important to keeping blueberries healthy and improving yield.

If you have any berry plants, and/or new trees in your landscaping, and you are unsure what is necessary for optimum growth, then these workshops are for you. Shawn and Grant will allow time for all questions at the end of their demonstrations.

The Hartman Arboretum is located northwest of Evansville at 5939 Spirit Trail. It is one-half mile north of State Road 66 (Diamond Ave) at Hwy 65 (Cynthiana Road) adjacent to the German Township Booster Club.
