Evansville’s Complete Streets Ordinance G-2021-17
ETC has worked diligently to see a Complete Streets Ordinance adopted in Evansville, and we are happy to report to you that Ordinance G-2021-17 has been filed by Council Members Trockman, Heronemus, Burton, Moore, Beane, and Weaver!
Introduction of Ordinance G-2021-17 takes place this evening, October 11, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., in room 301 of the Civic Center Complex,1 N.W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Our community has a history of not pursuing the adoption of a Complete Street Ordinance Policy, with the most recent attempts of introduction in 2016. As we move toward this exciting new opportunity for all of us, we ask that you please join us in supporting our City Council Members by attending the meeting on October 25.
We also hope you will join us in voicing why it is important. On the 25th, you will have time to voice your support for Evansville to adopt a Complete Streets Ordinance, so we may become a multimodal/intermodal city, that is a bicycle and walk-friendly community, where pedestrians, bicyclists, wheelchair users, and more have the opportunity to travel safely to places like school, work, shopping centers, doctors offices, parks, and trails!
See you there!
